From discussions with many of the parents within the community and who like the early childhood setting in which I work have found that many of their children have become very interested in sea creatures because it is summer. Some parents, families and whanau have been going on holidays over the weekends to the beach, river and lakes to stay in batches or camping have found that they are noticing their interest more and more as they are outside exploring what the earth has to offer.

I thought that this was the perfect opportunity for myself to plan an excursion for those children to the Napier Aquarium where they bring families and whanau together to extend their interest and see the sea creatures that they are particularly interested in right up close.

Where: The National Aquarium, Marine Parade, Napier
Date: November 15th
Time: Departure: 10am     Arrival: 10:15am
Travel: Car

I will need parent helpers who can also drive who have their full licence. If you can help can you please inform me by the 10th November and if you have any questions. The permission slips for the children will be handed out and in your pockets at the centre.

Look forward to seeing you coming together and getting to know one another for the benefit of the child!
